Remember ,how some bed time stories from our patents and grand-parent made a great impact on our lives …The story teller is able to largely get full ATTENTION of the audience…develop a connect … based on an interesting story and in the process conveys ..a very important …“Lesson of Life” …LOL…OR ….MORAL of the story …which remains with the reader.

Some of the famous and high IMPACT examples are …Panchatantra Stories….Jataka Katha …Ramayana …Mahabharata…which have guided the beliefs & morality of billions of Indians for thousands of years … Similar stories and folk tales of China ,Japan, Europe , Russia ,Africa and other parts …have made tremendous impact on the beliefs thought process and lives of their audiences .

1.3 Buddha -The Best Communicator

I respect Buddha as one of the most successful mass communicators of ideas of all times …and he very nicely used the medium of effective story telling… for conveying his enlightened thoughts…. In our blog also we will try to use interesting stories for similar purposes.

In ancient India and in other parts …story telling …was effectively used for shaping the VALUES & belief system of young minds …on the RIGHT lines by providing SOLVED examples …and preparing them for making …CORRECT choices for great life ahead …Sadly ,this practice has been LOST due to…. pressures of life of working parents … minimal interaction with grand parents in nuclear families and… the current education system which is … far from HOLISTIC… stresses only on IQ and… largely ignores building of human values (EQ&SQ) and health (PQ).

1.4 Current Education —Without STRESS on …Moral Education

Our current education system …based on Macaulay Model …has lopsided focus on skill education for earning …but it has abandoned …the value education and character building aspects . Our traditional Indian system of education was much more HOLISTIC …focused on skills , values  and health aspects …Now , we have highly educated and brilliant students passing out from top institutions…who lack in culture and human qualities …empathy …self-control (BRAKES)…caring & sharing …concern and respect for others …”deserve before desire” …”country ..society …family above self-interest”.

1.5 Impact of  ….Low IMPORTANCE to …Moral Education

Many widespread problems of modern times  like… 
(i) Widespread CORRUPTION  & crime against  weaker sections…due to LOW self control against GREED…
(ii) CRIME AGAINST WOMEN …due to LOW self control against LUST

(iii) IGNORING legitimate interests of other people …specially the weaker sections &           poorest…sharp rise in income of …TOP-10% w.r.t …Bottom -90%

(iv) Excessive DAMAGE to  environment;
 
All above acts against society are due to … high  IQ ….giving big  position and power … but low EQ&SQ leading to …LOW  morality …extreme selfishness & LOW self-control…
Somewhat like…”Powerful CAR…with defective BRAKES…leading to many ACCIDENTS “.

1.6 Correction of ALARMING Situation
